The clouds above were bright, colorless. The ground below reflected them; it had snowed and the snow itself was still coming. The flakes were huge, puffy and wet. Icy to the touch, as it should be. In the streets, there was very little traffic along with ice on their pavement. Winter break was about to begin for the human children, however schools had been closed due being snow in; and the children could be seen outside in their front yards, building snowmen and snow forts, or having a free-for-all snowball fight; laughing and shrieking with glee.
Down the street stood a lone wolf; his posture was poor. Both of his hands were stuffed into the pockets of his faded black jeans, and he was leaning back against a street pole. It was cold and frozen; however the albino wolf paid no heed to this. Instead, his focus was on the human children; his scarlet eyes glared at them through narrowed slits. His nostrils were soon filled with their disgusting scents, causing him to feel nauseous. He hated humans, simple as that. He sees them as prey; however, due to an earlier ordeal in his life, he has learned to control this bloodthirsty urge.
"They’re pathetic… Every one of them…” He muttered in a low voice. He opened his eyes wider, then slid his right hand out of his pocket and stared at the piece of paper within its clutch. It was a shopping list. “This is so stupid. She always does this to me…” He mumbled, irritably. He straightened up his back and set out, trudging through the thick snow. He was not properly dressed for the weather, no boots, or a sweater. Along with his jeans, he wore his casual, black and white shoes. They provided no warmth for his feet and no protection against the wetness of the snow. The albino had wondered if he’d get frostbite, but shrugged this off. Around his neck was not a scarf, but a dark red piece of cloth. It was ripped and raggedy, though the wolf thought it seemed fit as a bandanna. He reached up and pulled at it a little bit, he had fastened it too tightly before he set out to this city.
“Some surprise gift.” He groaned, continuing to complain. “Yeah, let’s all gay now, swap roles. Girls go heavy lifting and all that nice sh- crap. And us guys can stay at home and do the shopping and paint our nails.” He added, sarcastically. He rolled his eyes and flipped his bangs out of his face. There were three in front of his left eye, and a single one near his right eye. Their tips were dyed black; and like the albino’s fur, they were pale and thick. If not, slightly frizzy.
“She’s so stupid… I hate her. I wish she’d fall over and die somewhere. Maybe I will? Who knows. It might as well be my day to pass on. He- heck. No one would miss me. The world would be eternally grateful.” He shook his head, and flattened his ears as he earned some stares from a few children that he passed. He felt his blood rush to his face with warmth accompanying it. He groaned and immediately shook off the embarrassment. “Those humans are the ones who… Are no.” He twitched, realizing he was talking to himself. He looked from side to side through the corners of his eye and ducked down into a dark alley. He gave it a quick glance over and found that continuing down this way was nearly impossible. He started to turn away, however he lost his footing and slipped. Naturally, he put his arms out in front of his face and braced for impact.
