She laughs quietly. "That is only one of my many powers. The proper term for what I am is a Goddess." She stepped around behind the tree and came out the other side. "A goddess of Chaos."

"A goddess, eh?" Issil questioned, pausing with a sort of 'hmm...' of thought. His tail, previously curled around him, began to restlessly swish back and forth. "Why me? I'm sure I'm not the only one who has come here... Why speak to me? Why lead me here? I'm just a mortal. I thought gods and goddesses didn't care about things that didn't concern them directly?"

"And how would you know that? How many deities have you spoke too?" She smiled and sat down on one of the thick roots of the tree. "If you're questioning whether I am what I claim to be I can easily set things strait should you wish. And I picked you because you're interesting. True that others come through here, but you're the first in awhile that hasn't been in a group or just some architect. You have powers Issil, I've seen your struggles with good and evil inside yourself. You're interesting."

Issil wasn't surprised she knew his name. After all she was indeed a goddess. He had to admit with a shrug that he did not know any deities and that this had been the first one he had spoken to. Even praying did not count properly. "Me? Interesting?" She was right. He had been struggling... Even more than usual in recent weeks.

Case nodded, crossing her legs. "Yes, not everyone has powers like you and a history like yours. And not everyone is in such a powerful struggle with the two halves of themselves."

A sort of fire burned brightly in the bottom of his eyes as he thought about what his life was in the past and what it had become. After all he had seen more than some people. He knew the torment of an internal fight as well as an external battle with a sibling on more than one occasion. He had tasted power but not the control needed to keep it in his grasp. Most of all he had tasted the bitter flavor of regret which still hung in the air around him frequently. "Again, true. I admit your logic is spot on. Still I am not sure exactly what you want from me... That doesn't explain why you decided to converse with me...?" Dying embers flickered in his palms for a moment as the fires within threatened to rage. He suppressed them.

She smiled at him then stood and approached him. "Because I can help you reach a decision, and a side. I am one of the three gods of Chaos. The one that reflects the lighter positive side. Case."

He blinked a few times. She could help him tame this horrible war within him? He was sick of being torn in half by his own nature. Issil's eyes stopped flaming and he met her gaze, not backing away from her as she stepped forward. "...Can you really? I mean... I've been trying for so long on my own."

Case stepped up right before him and looked up into his eyes. "It is possible to send you in either direction, should the right person be the one to give you a push." She stared into his eyes longer, as if searching for something. "I'm surprised my Sister has not attempted yet to take claim over you... Your soul has much corruption."

He frowned. "Chaos Emeralds are powerful... I tasted that power. I liked it too much. I think it pushed me a little too far over the edge. While the Emerald is gone the craving is still there. The raging part of me is still there. You can see it then... But yes, I have not met your sister. I told you I have not met any deities save for you unless she has been trying to push me back in that direction indirectly."

Case nods. "It is possible, if she has any contact with a Chaos Emerald she'll leave a small trace of corruption behind. The Emeralds on their own do not inspire evil or good... They are just true Chaos." The goddess licked her lips and thought for a moment, finally she turned around and then knelt by the tree. "I've made my decision. Help me for a moment please, I had something buried in this spot and I'm afraid I'm not very much help at digging."

He nodded, walking over to stand beside her with a look of curiosity on his face. Issil was unsure what she was planning on doing but anything that could suppress the fires within him from spiraling out of control would be appreciated. Issil was not a being of destruction and true that he did not believe in any gods or goddesses in particular as far following them went but right now he trusted Case with his life.

Case was digging at the dirt with her hands. The fact that she had clawed gloves helped her a little, but she still seemed to be having some difficulty.

Claws extended out of Issil's fingertips. Like any cat he could sheath them if he wanted to. He started to dig as well, helping her. Fortunately he seemed a bit better at it than her. "I'm no canine," he chuckled as a joke, "but I guess this is assisting."

When something shiny flashed in the dirt she put a hand up and gently tried to push him away. "Okay, that's good. I have it from here." She reached in and pulled out a sparkling gem. It was not the white chaos emerald, but it was shaped just like them. It was clear like a diamond and rainbow colors sparkled on the inside of of it. She smiled as she approached Issil with this gem.
