Forcing herself once again to be calm, Tara nodded. "She's... different. I think I may get along with her eventually. ...I am sorry I seemed intense for a moment there. I dislike humans and chao in general." She had to take an immense amount of effort to say the word human without malice.

Control nodded. "Why Chao though? They have a longer history with mobians than humans."

Tara shrugged. "I just don't generally like them... They kind of creep me out and mostly they're cuteness overload. Far too fluffy and adorable for my tastes. I'm just bitter I guess. It makes little sense to anyone but me."

Flare landed on the couch, and Tearany was startled by this new disturbance. She sat up and blinked at the chao, scanning it. If you looked close enough, you could see information flick across her eyes as she searched databases and registered information on this new creature. She paused for a moment, and broke the silence with a loud "CHAO!!". She picked up Flare and gave her a big hug.

Flare was very much taken off guard as she was forced into this hug. She protested loudly and tried to get away to no avail. Control smiled. "Looks like Tearany doesn't need that much rest."

Blissfully ignoring the chao's struggles, Tearany let it free as she fumbled around for her notebook, pulling it and the pencil out of the back pocket of her pants. How they got there she'll never know. She wrote 'I was sleeping all the way here, silly Controlly.' and handed the notepad to Control.

He read it over quick as a blink. "Yeah but it's not even been a half an hour... But whatever." He shrugged and placed the notepad down again.

Tara giggled at the sight of Tearany and the chao. "Well as long as she's alright, Control, we shouldn't be complaining." Despite her dislike for Flare's species, she couldn't help but be amused by the antics. After all she wasn't used to company and any laughter was a welcome thing.

The chao went off out of the room. To where was anyone's guess. "Well as long as you're better now." Control shrugged. "Whatever that... Thing... Did, seems to have worn off. I don't feel a chill or anything anymore."

Tearany wrote. "Me neither, and that's good. I'm incredibly weak to cold." She hopped off the chair and stood up. She blinked twice, and glanced Tara up and down. She nodded before moving onto her own self, but only doing her arms, and nodded, satisfied. She moved on to Control, blinking and staring him up and down, until she stopped with a "Woah." She stared off into space, doing the same thing she did with Flare: researching and scanning things, except with a frantic look on her face. She took the notepad and wrote something. "I'm getting extreme signals from something coming from...inside you? The threat levels are off the charts, and I don't think it's you." She circled around him, continuing to scan him, and taking notes. "It lies in the fetal position...it looks like a demon? I've seen documents on something similar to this. What was his name, Darkness?"

Control looked at the note. He blinked once and his mouth dropped open. He looked to Tearany, head tilted a little. "You... How do you know he's there? And how do you know his name?"

Tara tilted her head. Even though she hadn't been invited to read the pad, she had seen it anyway. Vampire senses were quite keen and that included sight even out of the corner of her eye. "Darkness...? Control is there something I'm missing?"

Control crossed his arms and sighed. "There's something alot of people don't know about."

Tearany swiped the notepad and wrote further. "I was scanning the lot of us for internal damage, just in case. Me and Tara are okay; I passed her vampirism as 'not a threat', no offense, Tara. But actually, I didn't know. I made it a habit that whenever I see something I don't know, I try to connect to the ARK's extensive database so I can find out more about it. Being too far away I can't anymore. I'm a computer, Control. Not a whole lot you can hide from a living computer."

Control sighed. "Yeah but... It's still something I try to hide..." He had almost hoped she'd lose that ability to look deep in on things. Darkness had been good at hiding himself in the first encounter. He must have let his guard down. "Alright, I'll explain to you Tara. And whatever else Tear doesn't know. You saw me use a little bit of my powers against that thing earlier." He paused and the moon on his forehead changed into the open third eye. Also the shadows around him seemed to grow a little darker. "I havn't always had those powers. They come from something else within me. He's called Darkness and he's a demon." Control paused again. "He wants to speak with you himself." Control's change happened slowly. He seemed to grow a few inches taller. His white fur grew darker until it became gray and then jet black. His eyes faded away and were replaced by a deep purple fire, except the eye on his forehead which glew even brighter. Small red veins appeared all over his revieled fur, glowing lightly. His hands' claws extended into much longer and sharper claws. His wings grew larger and the inside membrane resembled shifting shadows. his tail lost its fur and became long and reptillian. As Darkness took shape the whole room seemed to have its light drained away. The only light in the room seemed to radiate from him, while all the same he oozed shadows.
