Shrugging, Tara just followed Control to the door. She smiled at him. "Control I don't really have anything to worry about. I came here with just the clothes on my back and that's how I'll leave."

"Well that's true." He looked back down the hallway, they were just waiting on Tear now. "Pretty much how Tearany got here. She was only in a white lab coat, maybe after all this stuff with that Plague guy is finished with Tear can take you shopping... And maybe I'll come to to make sure she doesn't get in trouble. She hasn't been on earth very long after all."

Tearany scampered out the door with the diary and writing pad in hand and got on the ship, sat down in the seat farthest from the door and instantly continued reading. She was determined, the haunting smell of pizza still floating around in her nostrils.

"I'd like that very much," Tara agreed. She had never been one to go shopping but when it was with friends things were different. Besides, she could use new clothing. Also her clawed hands and feet were causing scratches to objects. They needed some cover perhaps? Gloves or shoes would be nice... not that her feet weren't tough enough to handle the running at her speed.
She watched Tearany scamper past and followed, entering the ship as well. Her breath caught in her throat when she saw its interior. "Still wow." She never knew such electronics existed.

Control sat in the pilot's seat, and Swift in the Navigator's. Which left four more open seats. (Ironic considering that besides Tear and Tara there were too more passengers. They were unaware of those ones however). "Okay, the engines are still warm, so let's prepare for takeoff. Swift, a tactical diagnosis please?" He turned to the robot. Swift answered, lights flashed across his eyes like the data in his brain. "All systems are in excellent condition. There was no concerning difficulties on the flight here." Control grinned. "Then we're ready for take off. Please buckle yourself in, we'll be serving peanuts and pizza on the flight. There's a lavatory in the back, and there will be an in flight movie. If we experience difficulties mid flight please feel free to scream for your life because we haven't had the chance to install parachutes yet."

Tearany barely heard Control speak, but when she heard 'pizza' she perked up. She had never been so obsessed with anything in her life, and she became desperate to find the answer that was eating her. (Pun intended, y'all.)

Tara chuckled dryly at the humor of the parachute idea. She took her seat and placed the seatbelt on over her chest, waiting for takeoff. She could sense the distance in Tearany's actions. The vampire couldn't blame her. After all, it seemed Tearany's need for pizza was like her own craving for blood.

There was a dreadfull moment of silence, followed by a loud boom and everyone was pushed back into their seats. The front and side windows depicted that they were flying past the buildings incredibly fast and the ship was raising above the city. "We have liftoff!"

Just after Control shouted Tearany yelled from the back seat "I GOD ID!!" (Annunciation was a problem) She passed the book over to Tara and pointed feverishly at a paragraph that read: "I cannot protect these five from everything, especially since even the slightest particle of earth could kill them. I have spent too long on this project to have my hard work slandered by a fleck of earth. Early in development I added a mixture of chrorophybric acid and poly-nuclaic acid to dissolve almost anything that gets into them, while adding a coating of anti-sorbates to the nanobots that support their frame. Hopefully that will keep them safe." Tearany was elated. No doubt that acid could dissolve pizza!
(I bet none out of three of those chemicals actually exist.)

Scanning her orange eyes over the page, Tara tilted her head. She was never one for science. Still it made sense. She excitedly smiled at Tearany. "I bet that means you can safely eat it. I suppose it still counts as eating, right? If something's in you and your acids dissolve it? At the very least you could enjoy tasting it. That's the point of pizza after all."

Tearany squealed, reaching for a pice of pizza from the box in front of them. It was cooled off just enough that she could pick it up without being burned. The acidic smell of tomato filled her nose, but she was used to acid smells like this. But even before taking that first bite she felt like even just by smelling it she could tell the entire history of the pizza: the warm dough, the fiery oven, then the sauce, cheese, and pepperoni placed lovingly on top. She leaned in, licking some sauce off the tip of the slice and it stung her tongue slightly. She startlingly snapped off the entire tip, trying to fill her mouth with as much food as possible. She pulled her head and the rest of the pizza away, trying to break the very gooey strands of cheese. But the individual flavors of the food worked in harmony with each other in her mouth: The pepperoni was spicy and made her throat dry, like her mouth was on fire, but the calming taste of the mozzarella cheese counteracted the raving spice, leaving only a taste of salt and pork in her mouth. The cheese was odd and bitter, and the melt-in-your-mouth dough and tangy sauce worked together and tied the whole work of culinary art together. She hesitated to swallow, wanting to savour the taste a little bit more, but when it started to taste like acid 'saliva', she swallowed. Tearany squealed in utter rapture as she wolfed down the rest of whatever was covered in pizza sauce, not caring for the crust.

Tara chuckled and picked up the discarded crust, chewing thoughtfully on it like she were a dog and it were a bone. She swallowed almost immediately but not without her own moment of appreciation. The only pizza she'd ever eaten was usually cold and either stolen from somebody or left in the trash to rot. She picked up a full slice, hoping to eat before Tearany managed to devour the whole pie. "Yum!"

Control was startled and looked back in fear when he heard Tearany's second squeel, thinking something must be horribly wrong. Though seeing her alright and apparently enjoying the pizza he looked forward again and back to watching the sky.

Tearany clapped, picking two pieces out from the box and sandwiched them together, crust on the outside and ate it.

Tara giggled. "I've never seen somebody so enthusiastic about pizza, Tear. I mean I'm glad you're enjoying it but it's plain out odd."
