It was an oddly rainy morning, Kira noted as she listened to the thunder outside. She sat in her small 'living room', sitting on her legs as she sipped tea peacefully. Mmm... Green tea...
It was little things like this that made life pleasurable really... Speaking of tea though, her stock was running low. And so was the flow of clients. Placing the cup down, she frowned. If she didn't gain some payment soon, she would likely have to look for another 'gold digger' ability... Those were troublesome, and had a habit of sending the world into recession temporarily.
Whispered voices gave a calm and sweet message to her as she drove these thoughts from her mind. Rising from her seat and into her 'lobby', a small room with a couch for visitors, a chair for herself, and a table with the candles of her past clients, she smiled. "My my... It would seem that today, I will receive an... Interesting task."

Moodily, Cryos walked through the thunderstorm. The shadows caused by the clouds gave her some reassurance but like any cat she disliked getting her fur wet. And boy was she ever getting wet. Suppressing the urge to hiss the dis-empowered goddess sloshed through an especially damp mud puddle on the ground.
"How the hell is it that even in the freaking city there is still accursed mud?" she couldn't help but ask to nobody in particular. Her eyes were a tempest of emotion. Hate. Annoyance. The vast majority of them were negative. Still she had but one thing in mind today and she would be sticking to it.
Having the very same goal in mind daily, Cryos just wished to escape from the accursed situation she had been flung into by her fellow gods and goddesses. She wanted to be Crythonil. She wanted her power and abilities, especially her ability to create. She was of course thankful to have retained her ability to control shadows but it was not enough compensation for her tastes.
And so in this state she arrived at Kira's door.

The door was held open by a single brick in the alleyway, paint peeling off its wooden frame and the rain rolling down the front of it on an angle. A cellar entrance? Above the door, a sign.
'The trapped, the lost, and the fallen may all find solace here, be they willing to pay the price. - Spirit Aid and Detective, Kira'
Inside, hushed whispers continued as Kira took her usual seat on the large chair in front of the couch, tall bookshelves sitting on either end as the spirits conformed around familiar sights of the cabinets and candles beside the couch. There were footsteps outside her door.
It was time.

Seeing the sign, Cryos's eyes flashed an inquisitive shade of teal for a second or two. The shadows around her feet from the alleyway collected around her and draped her body in a cape which clasped around the neck with the key necklace she was already wearing. It shifted a little, wavering along with her "clothes" in shape- then settled into a more solid form. She then opened the door.
This has better be good... she thought to herself, wanting to absolutely be sure this 'Kira' could help her in the issue at hand.

The door was opened. But would the client come in? Or would they flee? Very rare it was, that a member of the living would come to her office. Rarer still, that they would come farther than the door. Not everyone was ready to complete their task. Not everyone was truely in need of aid.
Beyond the door would be a staircase down, in a small narrow hallway. And at the end of the hall and stairs, the door to the 'lobby'. "We will see, if they are ready." There would be tea for herself and her guest, provided they came. They had best not refuse the tea.

She descended the staircase, ignoring the strangeness around her. After all it was just darkness. Cryos had no qualms with it. If anything she felt more relaxed in an enclosed area where the shadows could gather. She hardly spared a moment to glance around as she entered the lobby.
Nothing really caught her eye save for the fact that the hallway was narrow and she disliked it. She was glad it had indeed opened up into another door and into the lobby which was more spacious. Black echos of her footsteps trailed behind her almost like leaving shoeprints in snow. They lingered mysteriously for a second then like obedient dogs returned to position around the room in natural dispersal.

Kira sat calmly on her chair, waiting for the client to take a seat on the couch in front of her, where the spirits, who for reasons unknown chosen to help her see rather than move on, would allow the client to become visible. Until then, she would be silent.
Sight was a joker, a trickster in a way. The old and confident would be revered as intelligent, wise, and strong. The young and silent were seen however, as incompetent, and weak.
The true test was this- If a client was willing to ask for the right help, they needed to see with more than their eyes. Would a living or deceased being ask a child for aid?
The tea sat on the coffee table, and steam rose from it. It was so warm... Hopefully to the client's preferred tastes.

She was absolutely committed to dealing with anyone if they could help in the slightest. The realm of the supernatural was not delved into by many let alone many experienced in said realm. She could almost smell the tea. It helped she had higher senses than a mortal being. Still pressed onward until she sat on the couch in front of Kira. She'd arrived at last.
This had better be useful...

Kira smiled. The spirits, though shaky, wrapped themselves around the cat's form in front of her, revealing every detail to her in an odd neon-green glow.
But there were things that spirits need not reveal- The client's soul. Or.. Souls.. in this case. "How interesting... Two spirits, sealed in a body, with their fates entwined... Now what, I wonder, could the 'yin' of the souls wish of me..?"

She did not seem phased by the spirits but rather by their glow which caused her powers to retaliate by tendrils of darkness starting to rise up from the pooling shadows around her feet. She dismissed them with a quick wave of her hand and again they obeyed. This 'yin' as Kira had put it had a lot of control over her abilities. She was powerful.
"The 'yin' is named Crythonil. You, mortal, may call me Cryos," she replied. Her voice was one of authority, unwavering. "I come to you with a problem I believe may be in your area of expertise."

Kira chuckled lightly, taking her small cup of tea and sipping from it. "You would not be here, miss 'Cyro', if the problem was not. So the only question that remains, is just what that problem is." The second cup on the table lay steaming and within Cyro's reach, but something told Kira it would remain untouched. How stiff the living were, when it came to 'business'.

Cryos sighed. "It's not Cyro. It's Cryos." In her mind she made note she would have thought the bat would know more about how to properly respect an immortal. Still she needed the assistance and this was the best she could do.
The four tailed cat pointed to the black metal key on her neck that she could not remove. "I need to be severed from... my 'yang' if you will." She took a glance down at the tea and picked it up as carefully as anyone that was a guest in somebody's home would. She lifted it gently to her lips and took a sip. The hot liquid warmed her pleasantly.

Kira's unseen eyes seemed to widen slightly with mild surprise. Oho... So she was dealing with a customer with taste then.. Uncrossing her legs, her tone of voice changed to a more business like sound. "I see. Do you know of the terms that bound you then?" Certain terms had certain solutions... Or no solutions at all. One such situation being a soul 'divide', when the soul split into two, a shadow and a light, and the power was split among it. In these cases the abilities were the same however... Something that was not the case here.
Which meant more tea for her.
(OOC - Waaai.. Sorry about that- 'Cyro' was a mispelling on my part... Kira did say Cyros... |D I can say that it was a mispronunciation though.. :\ )

(xD No problem. Probably easier we use it as a mispronunciation than go back and edit)
Pausing again to sip her tea, Cryos pondered. She did not know the full conditions of her binding but she did know certain aspects. She held the small cup daintily in her hand as she spoke. She held her own formal vocal tone to match Kira's. It seemed there would be no growing too familiar in this situation.
"I am a goddess, bound to crystal shards by my fellow gods. After the crystal shattered pieces- very large in number and very small in size- spread over the world. Akilah, my 'yang' is my host body simply because she found the one holding the most of my essence. It bound me to her body. The shard she found resides in one of the rings on my body but there are several items keeping me tethered to her. One being the key around my neck. I cannot remove either the ring or the key and neither can she." She decided to pause again to drink a long few swallows of her tea. After all too much talk and it would get cold.
"Are you following me thus far?"

Kira nodded. However, she did have one question it seemed, as she skimmed her book shelf for something. "Understood. I must ask, however, which gods created you- Depending on your answer, I am afraid that my help will be much more limited."
It would be rather upsetting if it came to that. The payment would decrease severely..
