Issil blinked. "...Smell 'them'? Who would be this 'them'?" he asked her. Continuing he spoke again. "As for sneaking past the humans, probably the best idea. We don't want to give them time to wake up and see us or for the surveillance cameras to spot us."

Talon game him an odd look, as if she was confused at what he was saying. She hook her head. "Let us hurry, I have to know if I can truly smell them or my nose is playing tricks on me." She hurried off in the direction of the smell.

Issil followed, quickly doing he best he could to keep up. The ceilings were low but wide enough for him to spread his wings despite not having much height. At least he was still swifter in the air than on foot. "...Truly smell who? Or what?"

Talon looked back at him, as if not understanding the question. Finally she blinked and turned forward. "I can smell my kind." And went on.

He seemed amazed, nay shocked. Her kind? Did that mean that somehow more Raptors survived all those years? No... there was no way. It had to be a fluke. Still they were inside a lab. He didn't doubt there was somehow science involved.

Talon paused again, before another door... She knew they were past the 'wall' but she couldn't figure out how to open it.

Issil landed beside her, pushing her gently so she would move out of the way. I seemed this door didn't need a security code or anything. He grabbed the handle and pushed it down before giving the door a shove. It opened up into a larger hallway. However this one just wrapped around some kind of glass dome. In the center of which was a Raptor- male- training alone. He looked tired but still he pushed himself to jump hurdles and spring off of walls and such to attack targets. The roaring and such was from him. Issil blinked. Another live Raptor?

Talon stood frozen on the spot, it smelled and looked like a real raptor... The only other explanation would be dark magics we tricking her but... No, it had to be real.

The male raptor stopped his training and sniffed at the air, a look of surprise coming across his features. He quickly ran over to the only door in the glass and exited then sprinted over. He came to stop to stand before Issil and Talon. "...Who are you?" he asked, confusion showing through his body language. After all he knew all the Raptors in the lab and Talon was not one. He had also never seen anything like Issil before either.
Issil looked him over. He wasn't too tall... or was he? Issil admitted he did not know the proper height for a dinosaur. The Raptor didn't wear much, only a pair of shorts which fairly complimented his brown scales and the red stripes marking his arms, back, and tail. The only significant detail was the interesting bracelet he wore. It was decorated with some kind of teeth, sharp and menacing. What sort they were, Issil did not know.

Talon examined him carefully. She was a little bit taller, and more muscular as well. The fact was she had faced more strenuous activities in her time than this other raptor, though she did not know that herself. She judged him to be around her age, maybe younger. His clothing was odd... For a raptor of her time at least. "Talon, the blade daughter." She introduced herself.

He nodded. "Pleased to meet you, Talon. My name is Fang... I don't think I've quite gotten a title, blade daughter, but I hope that suffices at least."
Issil cleared his throat. "Issil... Scion of Case. I suppose I am pleased to meet you as well, Fang. Could you tell us where we are? I mean why is a lab all the way out here?"
Fang blinked. "It's simple. This is where I was born, or rather hatched. This is where Raptors are hatched."

Talon snorted, the fact she found what he just said very ridiculous. "Raptors are not born in great structures like this 'lab' as Issil calls it. We are hatched in caves that our parents select for us."

He blinked. "...You're not from around here are you, Talon?" Fang asked, guessing from her statement as well as from the way she dressed. "...There are no naturally born Raptors. There haven't been in a very long time. We're cloned, made from the fossils of ancient Raptors. Then the eggs are cared for until we hatch after which the hatchlings are immediately put through their training when they come of age."
"Interesting..."

"...Cloned?" She looked from Fang to Issil, wondering if the cat would have any idea what Fang was talking about.
(It's the Radom and Spode conversation all over again XD )

(oh god no not AGAIN! x.x DOOM!)
Issil shook his head. "It's a difficult process to understand and explain... Cloning is like... Well it's like taking one thing and making a copy of it."
Fang was wary. He looked from Talon to Issil and back again. These strangers didn't quite belong. He made no comment. For a fact he wasn't entirely sure what to say. How had they even gotten in? I can't stay for long... the others will wonder where I am. he resolved, shifting his weight from one foot to the other.
